Splat! PAHS Marlins swat Yellow Jackets down for big 21-5 victory BY DAN PARKER SOUTH JETTY REPORTER
Someone up in the heavens apparently thought Sabinal had suffered enough.
The Port Aransas High School Marlins were swatting the Sabinal High School Yellow Jackets, 21-5, before the game was called in the fourth inning on account of an approaching thunderstorm.
The called game, played Monday, March 17, in Sabinal, preserved a Port Aransas victory, because only four innings have to go by to be considered a full game.
The Marlins did "a great job at the plate and a good job in the field," said Brian Flack, coach of the Marlins. "Everyone got to play, and they played well. A great way to start our Spring Break."
With the victory, the Marlins record was 6-3 overall and 2-1 in district competition. | 1 | 2 3 | 4 | F | | PA | 5 | 10 3 | 3 | 21 | | Sab | 0 | 1 3 | 1 | 5 |
