CITY COUNCIL

The only race on this ballot is still for mayor, and three people have filed for the three other available positions.

Place 2 incumbent Keith McMullin filed on the first day of the filing period, and Glenda Ballentine filed for Place 4 being vacated by Bubba Jensen because of term limitations.

Place 6 incumbent Mike Hall also has filed for re-election.

SCHOOL BOARD Michael Garlough filed for Place 4, held by Dr. Ken Dunton who has filed for the remaining two years of the Place 2 position held by Garlough.

Garlough was appointed to fill Place 2 until the May election. It was left vacant by the resignation of Bob Smith.

Lorraine Stern, incumbent in Place 3, also filed for re-election.

WATER DISTRICT

The only candidates for three positions on the Nueces County Water Control and Improvement District No. 4 are the three incumbents.

Terms are for four years. Incumbents whose names will be on the ballot for the at-large positions are Russ Miget, Ed Reed and Suzette Freeman.
