Up, up and away!
A helicopter carries a wooden power pole away for disposal on Saturday, Feb. 2, as part of a multi-million-dollar project to replace wood power poles with bigger concrete poles carrying more powerful transmission lines along State Highway 361. The chopper, a K-Max K-1200 owned by Rainier Heli-Lift Inc. of Washington, was being piloted by Greg Haufle of Las Vegas.
