BY DAN PARKER SOUTH JETTY REPORTER

Basketball, royalty and pajamas.

It's all part of homecoming festivities at Port Aransas High School Jan. 21-25, dubbed Spirit Week.

To celebrate Spirit Week, PAHS students wore jerseys to class Monday, pajamas Tuesday, geeky clothes Wednesday and were to dress like twins today, Thursday, Jan. 24. Tomorrow is Marlin blue day. Also tomorrow, a pep rally will be held beginning at 8 a.m. at the PAHS gym.

Marlins and Lady Marlins basketball teams will play homecoming games against Woodsboro High School's teams tomorrow evening.

A homecoming queen will be crowned at Doyle Marek Gym at halftime of the Marlins game, which will begin between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

The duchesses are seniors Lia Phillips and Elaine Franco; junior Hannah Jones; sophomore Melanie Wheeler; and freshman Kelsey Ortiz.

A dance will be held at the high school cafeteria after the game. The dance will include a DJ and refreshments. Tickets are $5 per person.

The homecoming king will be crowned at 11 p.m. at the dance.
