Kids design planes for show

The talents of Latchkey kids will be represented in various media at an Art and Aeronautical Show on Friday, Feb. 1.

The event is geared toward the whole family as the kids show off their engineering skills by flying airplanes they designed in their first aeronautical show.

The show will be at 6 p.m. in the H.G. Olsen Elementary School gym, 100 S. Station St.

The public is invited to see the children's work, and "each piece of art is a stunning original," said Patsy Balcom, Latchkey director.

The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department sponsor the Latchkey program.
