Homecoming duchesses announced

The Port Aransas High School student council has announced the members of the 2008 homecoming court. Freshman Taylor Griffin, sophomore Kelsey Ortiz, junior Emily Scott and seniors Hannah Jones and Meagan Callaway were elected duchesses.

The Queen will be chosen from the two seniors. The coronation will be held at the Marlin basketball game on Friday, Jan. 30.

The homecoming king will be announced at the homecoming dance Jan. 30 in the PAHS cafeteria. The dance will be after the boys varsity basketball game.

A disc jockey will provide music and refreshments will be served at the dance from after the game until midnight. Admission to the dance is $5 per person.

Volunteers to chaperone and decorate are needed.
