Students offering gift wrapping

Feeling rushed for Christmas?

A group of eighth grade history students from Brundrett Middle School may be able to help. They will wrap your Christmas gifts in exchange for a donation.

The students are raising money to help fund a U.S. history class trip to Washington, D.C.

Bring your gifts to the H.G. Olsen Elementary School cafeteria, 100 S. Station St., on Monday, Dec. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You may bring your own wrap or use the wrap provided.

If the set time is not convenient, wrapping is available by appointment. Call Nana Ward at 749-6426 or e-mail Amy Flood at amycflood@yahoo.com to set up an appointment.

Seven students are signed up for the trip, which will be June 9-12, 2009. More students may sign up later, and 16 of the students are helping with the fundraising, according to teacher and sponsor Kristi Longanecker.

Each student will need to pay about $1,470.

While in Washington, D.C., students will visit all the national monuments, including the White House, the Washington Monument and Arlington Cemetery, as well as the Smithsonian Museums.
