Project graduation needs community help

Project Graduation has a lot going on. Several fundraisers are planned in the near future, and Project Graduation volunteers need the support of the community to accomplish their goals.

Parents of juniors and seniors at Port Aransas High School are encouraged to attend the next meeting on Thursday, Nov. 6. The meeting will convene in the high school library at 6 p.m.

The annual Project Graduation benefit poinsettia sale in underway. Poinsettias will arrive in a 6-inch pot, dressed with a Christmas bow, each with five or more blooms. They will be ready for pick-up on Saturday, Dec. 6. Use the form below to order by the deadline on Friday, Dec. 1.

Newly designed t-shirts are being sold for $10 each to support Project Graduation. Contact Renee Gamel at (361) 906-4320 or Cheryl Park at (361) 332-8932 for more information or to place an order.

A bake sale is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, at 8:30 a.m. at the Family Center IGA. Baked goods should be brought to the sale by 8:30 a.m. T-shirts will also be on sale.

Garage sale items are being collected for the Project Graduation garage sale on Feb. 14, 2009. No mattresses or bed pillows will be accepted. To donate items for the sale call Lisa or Mike Sikes at 749- 7344 or (361) 332-8357.
