Middle school runners end cross-country season

The Brundrett Middle School Cross Country teams finished the season on Monday, Oct. 27.

They competed in the district meet at West Guth Park in Corpus Christi under cool but very windy conditions.

Coach Javier Mendoza said, "The kids represented our town well.

"We are proud of all the runners," he said.

The top 10 runners in each division received medals.

Mendoza reported results as follows:

Seventh grade boys, individually: Randy Borden, 8th; Christian Johnson, 9th; Jake Roberts, 14th; Skyler Fusso, 17th.

Seventh grade girls, individually: Savannah Ortiz, 6th; Haley Scott, 7th; Rachel Lyons, 9th; Kellie Owens, 13th.

Eighth grade boys, individually: Andrew Hardegree, 13th; Tyler Pate, 20th; Seth Hyatt, 24; Chase Chambers, 26th.

The eighth grade girls team one placed second in the division. Individual results were: Maddison Shannon, 8th; Malaika Harder, 12th; Anna Roberson, 13th; Michelle Arnold, 14th; Jenna Socha, 15th.

Team two individual results were: Bakar Sackschewsky, 17th; Jocelyn Flood, 18th; Missy Gilbreath, 20th; Jessica Borden, 24th; Gabi Martinez, 25th.
