Peter Flagg Jr., 59, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at his home in Port Aransas.
Flagg was born Feb. 19, 1949 in Meridian, Conn. to Peter Flagg Sr. and Juana Maria Guruceta Flagg.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
A former resident of Brenham and LaGrange, Flagg raised quarter horses, was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, rode cutting horses and participated in cutting-horse competitions.
Since moving to Port Aransas three years ago, he enjoyed boating and fishing, and worked recently as a project engineer for Marine Construction.
Flagg was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Flagg of Port Aransas; two daughters, Jessica Noel Febbie of La Grange and Jennifer Nicole Flagg of Port Aransas; his mother, of Middletown, Conn.; a brother, Jared "Jed" Flagg of New Windsor, N.Y.; two sisters, Julie Flagg of Middletown, Conn. and Kate Bush of Park City, Utah; one grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Island Moorings Marina.
