Friday, Oct. 10, will be the last opportunity to enjoy the free Sunset Sounds concert series, and the first opportunity to enjoy the new Patsy Jones Amphitheater in Roberts Point Park.
The concert, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the amphitheater, will feature Shirley Fischer and the Mixed Nuts.
They play a wide assortment and styles of music, a "little bit of everything," said Pam Greene, community programs coordinator for the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department.
The concert series is courtesy of the parks and recreation department.
Spectators may bring chairs, blankets, picnics and coolers.
The renovated amphitheater was moved from the end of the park, overlooking the harbor jetty, to the side along the ship channel, just north of the soccer field.
