A bruiser named Hurricane Ike muscled the first Port Aransas Kiwanis Club Scholarship Golf Tournament at the just-opened Newport Dunes Golf Club out of its slot last weekend. It was to have been played Saturday, Sept. 13, but the threat of Hurricane Ike making a direct or near hit on Port Aransas caused postponement. More ...
