Boren

Norman Hite Boren, 22, of Port Aransas died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008.

Boren was born June 10, 1986, in Columbus, Ga., at the Fort Benning Army base to Dell Raye (Smith) Boren of Port Aransas and Danny Ray Boren of Corpus Christi.

He worked in Port Aransas as a security guard for Crown Security.

Boren enjoyed hockey, computer and video games, and spending time with his wife and son.

He is survived by his parents; his wife Lisa Boren and his son, Alexander Sheridan-Hite Boren, both of Port Aransas; a brother Marshall Levi Boren of Port Aransas; a sister Blair Jo Beth Smith of Michigan; a niece, Alleigh Mikulik of Michigan; his stepmother Priscilla Boren, a half-brother Robert Domingo Blackwood Boren and a step-sister Janessa Jo Cano, all of Corpus Christi; grandparents Norma Smith of Perry, Mich., Glenda Rogers of Crocker, Mo., Victor and Margarita Treviño and several aunts and cousins; his mother and father-inlaw Debra and Kenneth Mayes and his brother-in-law Michael Mayes, all of Port Aransas.

Boren was preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Smith, his uncle Valentin Elizondo and his cousin Robert LaChance.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment was at a beach bonfire at Corpus Christi Pass, Corpus Christi, and the Boren Family cemetery in Hawkeye, Mo.
