Visiting and resident tennis players are invited to a mixed doubles round robin tournament on Saturday morning, Sept. 6.

The tournament will be at the Port Aransas school courts on Station Street between Beach and Lantana streets.

Entry fee is a can of new tennis balls - players don't even need a partner.

Players in the "just for fun" tournament should meet at the courts at 7:45 a.m. to be included in the bracket. Play begins at 8 a.m. Players should be prepared to play until about noon and should bring water, although there is a water fountain nearby.

Partners are matched randomly, and the format depends upon the number of players participating.

The tournament is sponsored by the Port Aransas Tennis Association and is part of a series of tournaments held on the first Saturday of each month. The association has no meetings, requires no dues and has no official membership roster.
