Boy Scout Troop 29 of Port Aransas just returned from a week at Lost Pines Scout Reservation, just outside of Bastrop. The boys range in age from 12 to 16 and learn to work together as a group as well as with scouts from other troops across Texas. Some 300 scouts were in attendance at this camp session, July 13-19. Twelve-year-old Jenna Ward of Port Aransas will sing the National Anthem before an expected crowd of a few thousand people at a Corpus Christi Hooks baseball game at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi on Wednesday, July 30.
