Volunteers needed at computer center

The computer center is in "desperate need" of volunteers this summer, according to Port Aransas Computer Club President John Somers. The exodus of Winter Texans and a shortage of residents during summer has left the center short of volunteers for three days of the week.

Volunteers are needed on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

Substitute volunteers are also needed.

Volunteers do not need computer expertise, as a volunteer technician takes care of operations of the center.

Anyone with the inclination and the time to help out should contact Lyndon Holcomb at the computer center, 749-4011, or fill out a volunteer form at the center, 430 N. Alister St.
