Workers ease the first of several beams into place over State Hwy. 361 just south of Beach Access Road 1. The beams will support a bridge that will allow golf carts to cross from one side of the new Newport Dunes Golf Course. Traffic was diverted to a temporary road west of the highway while the beams were being set on Tuesday, May 20.
