The Lady Marlins beat Pettus High School, 10-0. The Port Aransas High School Lady Marlins softball team finished a difficult season with a monster victory.

The girls stomped Pettus High School's squad, 10-0, in a home game on Friday, April 18.

"The girls were determined to win, and win big," said Karen Hall, coach of the Lady Marlins.

The Lady Marlins ended their season with an overall record of 4-8 and a district record of 2-6.

The Port Aransas girls played a strong defensive game against Pettus, committing only one error in the field throughout the game.

"Jordan (Butterfield) continues to pitch very good, and we are all looking forward to next year in hopes of being more competitive," Hall said. "… These girls are just getting warmed up. It's a shame their season has to be over."
