Winners of the fifth annual Texas Laughing Gull Writing Contest will be honored at a reception on Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at the Third Coast Studio, 502 East Ave. G, Port Aransas. The Art Center for the Islands will present both monetary and certificate awards to winners. One writer will be honored with a new award, to be revealed at the reception.

After an intermission, winning authors will read their works. High school students will start the readings, followed by adults.
