Island women to be featured
Enjoy live music, refreshments, great art and great women artists this Friday, April 4,
from 5 to 8 p.m. This month's First Friday art show reception will feature "Island Women."
Six female artists will show their work.
Barbara Robinson is a Gulf coast artist influenced by the impressionists.
Mary Sirmon, a resident of Granbury, vacations here. She works in oils, stained glass and watermedia.
Elaine Morris is a Port Aransas resident who paints in acrylic and watermedia, designs seat-themed shadow boxes, handbags and more.
Ellen Fehrenkamp is a Corpus Christi artist who works in watercolor and acrylic.
Norma Jipping resides in Rockport. She began painting on fabric after retirement, then moved on to oil on canvas and currently works in acrylics.
Judy Pourner lives in Orange Grove and vacations in Port Aransas. Her love of the sea is evident in her acrylic and shell artworks on canvas.
The reception is free, open to the public and will be held at the Art Center for the Islands, 323 N. Alister, Port Aransas.
The Art Center for the Islands is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit art center.
