Rotary to serve shrimp Saturday
The Rotary Club's seventh annual Shrimp Boil is set for Saturday, Feb. 16. Tickets may be bought in advance or at the door.
Tickets are available at ValueBank, 500 S. Alister St.; American Bank, 216 S. Alister St.; and the Family Center IGA, 418 S. Alister St.
The Medicare Band will play from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for musical enjoyment and dancing.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the dinner will start at 6:15 p.m., at the Civic Center, 710 W. Ave. A.
The dinner will cost $15 per person with all proceeds going into the Rotary Club scholarship fund.
The dinner will include boiled shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, sausage and iced tea. The cash bar will sell beer, wine, bottled water and sodas. A drawing for prizes will be held at the dinner.
"Come on out and socialize, listen and dance to live music and fill up on shrimp, all for a great cause," said spokesman Mike Gray.
