Fishing means catching for some area fishermen
      Fishing reports from the dock varied again this week, with some saying fishing was slow and others having better luck. Long-range 48-hour tuna trips out of Deep Sea Headquarters earned fishermen limits of yellowfin, lots of blackfin, dorado and grouper, according to Dan Hurd.

      Jesse Smith of Port Aransas caught this 39.5-inch, 32.5- pound black drum Sunday, Jan. 27. The 12-year-old was fishing in the water off Roberts Point Park.

Big score
      Anglers with Texas Organizers on this long-range tuna trip racked up yellowfin and blackfin tuna, dorado and grouper. They were fishing aboard the Gulf Eagle, returning Sunday, Feb. 3. At the helm on the trip out of Deep Sea Headquarters were Capt. Keith Schoolcraft, Capt. Nate Forbes and crew, Clinton Clark and Miles Stamper.
