Scott Alan Clanton of Port Aransas has been named to the Dean's List at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches for the fall 2007 semester.

Clanton is the son of Teresa and Scott Clanton of Port Aransas.

To be eligible for this honor, a student must be enrolled in 12 or more semester hours, and maintain a 3.5 grade point average in all classes.

In a usual semester at this university, only about 15 percent are named to the list, according to Dean John E. Jacobson.
