Painting, pottery, jewelry at First Friday

Student art displayed The First Friday Reception tomorrow, Jan. 4, will feature artwork by students from Art Center for the Islands classes and workshops. Student art displayed The First Friday Reception tomorrow, Jan. 4, will feature artwork by students from Art Center for the Islands classes and workshops. Adult students will "show their stuff" at the First Friday Reception tomorrow, Jan. 4.

The work was done at various classes and workshops that were held at the Art Center for the Islands.

The reception will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the art center, 323 N. Alister St.

It is open to the public, and everyone is invited to attend.

Marcel's Restaurant will provide refreshments, and live music by Tiddle Caylor, Eddie Lee Skipwith and Ken Barnett will entertain patrons as they browse the artwork.

Drawings, soft pastels, watercolors, pottery, jewelry and more are included in the display.

The corporate sponsor for January is Condominium Consulting Management Services.

Art Center for the Islands is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation celebrating art and culture "island style" since 1996.
