Magnificent monarchs
Brenda Barnett, who lives on East Cotter, snapped this photo of monarch butterflies that congregated in her back yard this past Friday evening, Oct. 26, and Saturday morning, Oct. 27 'Hundreds of monarchs converged onto my salt cedar tree and slept the night away; in the morning they were still there until the sun hit them and they gently flew away and have not been back,' Barnett said. Monarchs migrate to Mexico each fall, and usually make a stop in Port Aransas.
