Center comes down, one bite at a time
Workers stand by as a backhoe operator knocks down the few remaining walls of the former White Marlin strip center at Cotter Avenue and Cut-off Road. The strip center, which was subject to an imminent city order condemning it and ordering demolition, has been bought, but no announcement has been made regarding what will be put there. Demolition work is being done by Con-Can Construction Canisters and Industrial Roll-off Bins out of Corpus Christi. The company says it's recycling everything possible from the building.
