Church plans holiday event

An evening of fun is planned for youngsters opting not to go trick-ortreating on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

The Island Worship Center is offering a "safe, fun-filled alternative to trick or treating".

Children ages 2 to 12 are invited to the church, 1801 S. 11th St., for a Hallelujah Harvest from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Their parents are welcome to join them.

Activities will include face painting, games, candy prizes and desserts.
