The Port Aransas Lady Marlins cross-country team won the district championship with a victory at West Guth Park in Corpus Christi on Monday, Oct. 22.

The Lady Marlins will compete in a regional meet on Saturday, Nov. 3, in San Antonio.

"I was real pleased with the times and how they competed, considering the weather conditions," PAHS crosscountry coach Steve Reaves said, referring to a cold front that struck the Coastal Bend the day of the meet at West Guth Park. "The wind was gusting over 30 mph pretty consistently.

"I am real proud of all of the kids and for the work they put into this season and how they performed (at West Guth Park)," Reaves said.
