Song of the sea ... or something
I covered two of her hurricanes the day after. I've watched four of my children fall in love with sand and waves and fishing and the beauty of the sea. They, too, brought their children here to let them find the magic. And shortly there will be a great-grandchild for Port A and Paw-Paw. My children and I lost the West Texas gal we brought to the sea. But now my wife, Peggy, has discovered the joy and the beauty of the sea and sand which are not available in her lovely Arkansas. And she too has fallen in love with Masefield's beautiful song of the sea, to-wit: "I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky, and all I ask is a tall ship - and a star to steer her by. And the wheel's kick and the wind's song - and a grey dawn breaking - and a grey mist on the sea's face - and a grey dawn breaking." Sumpthin' like that. Or….. I must go down to the sea again for the sea done took my hair. And that ain't all that rascal's done, My shoes now ain't a pair. My watch's a ruin.
