POLICE BLOTTER MONDAY, AUG. 6 • 8:41 a.m. An officer called for a tow truck to impound an abandoned vehicle found at Pole 3 on the beach. • 9:21 p.m. Responding to a report about a drunk driver at Avenue C and Alister Street, an officer charged a man with driving while intoxicated. TUESDAY, AUG. 7 • 2:16 p.m. At Pole 30 on the beach, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers took an injured person to a Corpus Christi hospital. • 8:13 p.m. In the 600 block of West Cotter Avenue, a man and a woman were each charged with public intoxication (PI). THURSDAY, AUG. 9 • 12:01 p.m. EMS workers took a sick person from the 1500 block of South 11th Street to a Corpus Christi hospital. • 12:23 p.m. Investigating a report of an intoxicated person in the 3500 block of State Hwy. 361, an officer charged a man with PI. • 1:48 p.m. An officer following up a previous report charged a man with burglary of a habitation. FRIDAY, AUG. 10 • 8:08 a.m. EMS crews took a sick person from the 300 block of East Avenue C to a Corpus Christi hospital. • 3:24 p.lm. A person was charged with shoplifting in the 400 block of South Alister Street. SATURDAY, AUG. 11 • 12:41 p.m. Firefighters responded to a report of a possible fire in the 1000 block of Sea Secret. The fire was extinguished when they arrived. • 1:01 p.m. A lost child was united with his parents in the area of Pole 6 on the beach. • 6:01 p.m. EMS crews took an injured person from the 5400 block of State Hwy. 361 to a Corpus Christi hospital. • 7:25 p.m. Responding to reports of an accident at Pole 15 on the beach, an officer charged a motorist with driving while intoxicated. • 8:18 p.m. EMS workers took a sick person from the 5900 block of State Hwy. 361 to a Corpus Christi hospital. • 8:25 p.m. An officer recovered a vehicle in the 600 block of East Avenue C that had been reported stolen earlier. • 8:59 p.m. EMS crews and firefighters responded to the Coast Guard station in the 300 block of North Station Street after reports of a boating accident. An injured man was taken by HALO Flight helicopter to a Corpus Christi hospital. (See Coast Guard Signals.) • 10:02 p.m. A man was charged at Avenue G and the beach with PI. |
