Roy Fridge's memorial set for Sunday

Friends of the late artist and filmmaker Roy Fridge will gather to celebrate his life and scatter his ashes on Sunday, Aug. 19.

Boarding will begin at Fisherman's Wharf, 900 N. Tarpon St., at 3:30 p.m., and the boat will depart at 4 p.m.

Fridge, who was born in Beeville on Nov. 1, 1927, died at his home in Port Aransas on July 15, 2007.
