COAST GUARD SIGNALS
      MONDAY, JULY 23 • 5:45 p.m. The station received a call reporting a 21-foot pleasure craft taking on water in the Lydia Ann Channel. The Coast Guard responded with a 25-foot Homeland Security Boat and was on scene at 5:51p.m. and towed the vessel to the city docks.

Three die on island in separate incidents
      Three unrelated deaths on Mustang Island over the past week have police shaking their heads. The first was reported on Friday, July 27, at about 8:43 a.m., Port Aransas police records show.
