'Sea'horsing around
Brett Hippler, 14, splashes through the surf with his brother's miniature horse, named Big John, at the beach in Port Aransas on Saturday, July 21. Big John lives on property that the Hippler family has near Portland. Using a horse trailer, they brought the horse to the beach just for fun, hooking Big John up to a small carriage for a while and going for a ride down the shore. The horse seemed to enjoy his beach experience, but at least once had to be dissuaded from eating seaweed.
