Auditions set at PACT Monday and Tuesday for new production

Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, July 9 and 10, for the production of "Duet".

The Port Aransas Community Theatre is looking for two to five men and four to seven women to perform.

Incorrect information provided last week indicated a female pianist was needed. Instead, a male pianist, who is 30-45, and an actress 25-40 years old, who can sing soprano, are needed. Age is not important for the rest of the characters.

Interested actors should meet at 7 p.m. at the theater, 2327 State Hwy. 361.

Performance dates for the drama/ musical by Rebecca Maclean are set for Thursdays through Saturdays, Sept. 20-22, 27-29 and Oct. 4-6, at 7:30 p.m. A Sunday matinee also will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 7.

"Duet" is a romantic comedy set in Houston during modern times.

The plot involves the star of a church choir and her search for love and an opera contract.
