Birding for Kids trips continue

"Introduction to Birds", basic classes at different locations, continues today, Thursday, June 21.

The Birding For Kids instruction is for ages seven and up.

Today's class will be from 9 to 11 a.m., at Indian Point on Hwy. 181, NR in Portland.

The last class will be from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center on Ross Ave. in Port Aransas.

The classes are free and are sponsored by the Coastal Bend Audubon Society, The University of Texas Marine Science Institute and Mission- Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve.

"Bring your own binoculars if you have them. If not, we have eight pairs of binoculars available for loan on a first come basis," Fuiman said.

Attendees are urged to wear a hat and sunscreen.
