Commercial yard
The Port Aransas Garden Club has chosen Venetian Hot Plate for June's commercial yard of the month located at Beach and Station Streets. Owner Linda Halioua, left, Josh Smith, Patti Spaethe and Joel Jackson sit in the newly added-on patio garden in front of the restaurant where an array of potted plants create an outdoor sitting area. Plants include bougainvillea, cosmos skull cap, marigold, vinca, ixora, petunia, cape honeysuckle, asparagus fern, hibiscus, palms, aloe, rubber plant, oleander, ivy, lily, zinnia, jasmine, and herbs.
