Officer installation is Wednesday

The Port Aransas Garden Club will wrap up the year's business at a meeting Wednesday, June 6, that will include the installation of officers for the 2007-08 year.

It will be held at 11 a.m., at the Community Center, 408 N. Alister St.

Members are asked to bring a salad to share.

Those officers will be Pete Hartje for president, Johnie Whisman and Sandi Pruett for first vice-presidents, Elleece Calvert and Chris Arneson for second vice-presidents, Rita Reed for secretary and Carol Nielsen for treasurer.

Hostesses for the meeting will be Jean Peters, Donna Dey, Christine Taylor, Barbara Beeler and Nancy Clarke.

The club takes a break in July and August and resumes meetings in September.
