SandFest photo contest draws entries from across country

More than 150 photos, some from as far away as New York and Florida, were entered in the SandFest Cinnamon Shore Photo Contest.

First place was awarded to Marvin Pfeiffer of San Antonio for the photo, "Puzzlement".

Second place went to Joe Wilson of Sarasota, Fla. for the photo, "United We Sand".

Third place went to Jerry Tavolino of Austin for "Exhausted".

The funniest photo award was given to Molly Tavolino of Austin for the photo, "Hey, Listen To This!".

The best people photo award went to Lisa Askins of Katy for the photo, "Inspired".

The best pet photo award went to Casey Limerick of Austin for the photo, "Watch Out For SandFest Security".

Many honorable mention awards were given. All winners may be seen at the Web site, www.sandfest.com.

All the photos will be put in a book, displayed at all future Sand- Fest events and used to promote the festival.

"It is always exciting to see Sand- Fest from so many different camera lens. The master sculptors love to see their work through the public's eyes. The photos will be enjoyed for years to come," said Dee McElroy, SandFest director.
