New venue for PACT
Wanted: Singers and songwriters, storytellers and standup comedians

Auditions for "Get Your S's On Stage" have been scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22 and 23. This production will feature acts by the S's: singers and songwriters, storytellers and standup comedians.

Auditions will be held at 7 p.m., at the Port Aransas Community Theatre (PACT), 2327 State Hwy. 361.

The production will be held three Saturdays in June, with each night having a different theme. The performances will be designed for the entire family.

If you enjoy performing at the Songwriter's Showcase, are part of the Storyteller's Club or are just funny when you stand up and open your mouth, PACT wants you.

Local talent not able to commit the time to act in one of the plays will be able to perform through this venue.

Acoustic accompaniment is welcome.

All ages are welcome to audition on PACT's stage. Audition material should be five to 15 minutes in length.

Singers and songwriters will grace the stage on June 2, storytellers on June 9 and stand-up comics on June 16.

If you have a conflict on the audition dates, your material may be forwarded for consideration to pacttheater@yahoo.com by Monday, May 28.

Directors Katie Crysup-Sikes, Ken Yarbrough and Alan Atkinson will review all material presented and organize it into a two-hour show for each night.
