Surf talk
More than a dozen Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi students were given surfing lessons Tuesday afternoon, April 17, near the Horace Caldwell Pier on the beach in Port Aransas. Here, Derek Gammon of Dallas, left, and Mabel Lopez originally of Mexico and more recently of Austin, go over moves as they perch under the pier. The lessons are part of the kinesiology course taught by Puddy Albright. One surfer can barely be seen riding waves at the right of the photo, between the pier pillars.
