Today last day to enter tennis tourney

The deadline to enter the first Cupid's Invitational Tennis Mixer has been extended to today, Thursday, Feb. 8.

The tournament, on Saturday, Feb. 10, will benefit the Port Aransas High School tennis team.

The round robin tournament will group players by ability level, not by their gender. Entry fee is a minimum donation of $20 per player. The tournament is limited to the first 32 players to send in entry form.

Four divisions will consist of eight players. Each player will play seven rounds of doubles with a different partner each round. A total of eight games will be played each round. Prizes will be awarded to the person in each division with the most games won at the end of the day.

The tournament will be held at the PAISD courts on Station Street, with check in at 8:30 a.m. and play beginning at 9 a.m.
