8th grade falls short versus Falls City

The eighth grade Lady Marlins had

their chances, but fell short, 24-32,

when they hosted Falls City for the

final game of the season on Monday,

Feb. 5.

Despite the loss, "It was a very

good game to w atch, " said C oach

Javier Mendoza.

b ehind . They k ic ked it up in the

second half, however.

"By playi ng h ard i n the g am e,

we were still in position to have a

chance to win. A couple of missed

shots toward the end hurt us," Mendoza

said.

The Lady Marlins ended the season

with a 10-2 overall record and a 6-2 record in district play.

"I am real proud of the girls. They

ended the season on a good note even

though we lost," Mendoza said.
