8th combo ends on high note despite loss to visiting Falls City

Marlin team faced an uphill battle in

their final game of the season.

They hosted Falls City on Monday,

Feb. 5, and came out behind, 10-42.

Mendoza.

"Our gir ls have come along this

season, and held thei r own against

most every team we played," Mendoza

said.

Against Falls City, Mendoza said

he saw a lot of improvement by every

player.

" It is not j us t ab ou t d r ib bli ng

and passing; it also has to do with

knowing where to go on offense and

defense, and getting on the floor to get a loose ball," Mendoza said.

In th i s las t game of the se aso n,

Mendoza witnessed his players "turning

into true basketball players."

The team ended the season with a 6-5 season record, and they were 5-2

in district.

"I am so proud of these girls for

Mendoza said.
