Zipper and fairy art to be taught

Hands-On Workshops have been scheduled to teach zipper art and feather fairies on Jan. 3 and 10.

The workshops will be held at 2 p.m., at the Pollock Center behind the Community Presbyterian Church, 113 S. Alister St.

No fee is charged, although any donation to the Pollock Center is appreciated. All supplies are provided.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Clyda Howard will teach how to make art from zippers at the workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 3.

The workshop on making fairies from feathers will be on Wednesday, Jan. 10, with Dee Wolfe as the instructor.

The Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with the Joint Effort Leisure Ministry this winter to offer programs to the public. Call the Parks Department at 749-4158 for more information.
