Tickets are on sale now for Kiwanis Great Potato Bake

Loosen those belts and get set for the annual Great Potato Bake. The dinner sponsored by the Port Aransas Kiwanis will be held Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Community Center, 408 N. Alister St.

Starting at 5 p.m., baked potatoes with all the fixings, shrimp bisque, salad, homemade desserts, tea and coffee will be served by the club.

Tickets are $10 and may be bought from Kiwanis at the Family Center

IGA, 416 S. Alister St., from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 4. Tickets also may be purchased from a Kiwanian, at both Port Aransas Realty locations, 113 E. Cotter Ave. and 1305 State Hwy. 361 and at the door.

Extra community birthday calendars may be bout at the IGA today.

All proceeds will go to scholarships for Port Aransas High School graduates, youth projects and other community needs.
