Tony Amos to discuss beach 'stuff' "More than you may ever want to know about stuff washing up on the beach" is the topic for a presentation by Tony Amos set for Monday, Jan. 8. It is free and open to the public, and will be held at 7 p.m., at the Community Center, 408 N. Alister St. Amos will have a show and tell with flotsam and jetsam that he has collected from the oceans and beaches over more than a quarter of a century. Amos is a research fellow at The University of Texas Marine Science Institute in Port Aransas who regularly rides the Port Aransas and San Jose beaches recording his observations. The presentation is a joint effort between Keep Port Aransas Beautiful, Inc. and the Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department. KPAB is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization the mission of which is to promote public interest to create a cleaner, more beautiful Port Aransas through volunteerism and education. members to get tips | |||||
