Save aluminum can snap-tabs to pay for kids' chemotherapy
The Port Aransas community has a chance to help save the lives of children by saving snap-tabs from soft drink, pet food, soup and beer cans.
Each tab can provide one free minute of chemotherapy for a child whose family cannot afford the treatment.
The program is sponsored by the Ronald McDonald House.
Bill Smith of Port Aransas has been going to businesses in town soliciting help, and he encourages all citizens to contribute. He will pick up any donations. The tabs also may be dropped off at Smith's office at Coldwell Banker Island Realtors, 1900 State Hwy. 361.
Call Smith at (361) 568-6648 to make arrangements for pick up.
All will be donated in the community 's name.
