Recipes knit generations together as kids join parents in holiday ritual

My mother would make several kinds of cookies, and we kids were part of the assembly line.

To London for Christmas this year

You glimpse one famous monument after another as you drive in from the airport, imposing buildings pass by on every street, you negotiate grand traffic circles where wide avenues join like spokes on a wheel, and the great capitol looms large as you approach the Mall -- and I'm not talking about Padre Staples. I'm talking about Washington, D.C.
