Melvin O. Schabilion of Port Aransas died in Las Vegas, Nev., on Friday, Nov 30, 2007.

Born Nov 27, 1946, he was 61.

Formerly from the Chicago suburbs, Schabilion was a U.S. Marine veteran of Vietnam and a retired special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration for 31 years.

Survivors include his wife, Donna nee Hehr of Port Aransas; a son, Jeff (Aimee) Schabilion; two daughters, Amy (Frank) Nitsche and Jodi (Jason) Foucher; seven grandchildren, Devan, Peyton, Sydney, Madelyn, Ethan, Mallory and Jeremy; a sister, Dolores (Rolf) Bronken; and a nephew, Carl Christian Bronken.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, at Steuerle Funeral Home in Villa Park, Ill. Interment will be private.
