ADMISSION: FOOD PANTRY DONATION
Folks who attend a Christmas Cabaret performance at Port Aransas Community Theater won't just be watching a show. They'll also be donating to charity.
The admission price to the show is a donation of non-perishable foods for the Port Aransas Helping Hands Food Pantry. The food donations should be brought to the theater at the time of the performance.
PACT is kicking off the holiday season with three Christmas Cabaret show performances. The shows will include a variety of holiday melodies.
The first performance will be a matinee at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9.
The final two shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14-15.
All will be performed at the theater, 2327 State Hwy. 361.
The cabaret storyline is the PACT family getting together for Christmas. They meet at the home of Mom and Dad. Grandpa and the new step-grandma are there, as well as Grandpa's ex-wife, who of course is still Grandma to the kids.
A little discontentment is obvious at the beginning, but the holiday spirit soon takes over, and the family becomes one.
The cast is huge, with aunts, uncles, cousins and kids everywhere. About 20 children and young adults, singing and rapping their favorite carols, will join the adult PACT family of about 15 people.
No reserved seating will be available. Doors will open 45 minutes prior to performances.
